thats one of the more novel places to put the cooler.. ive only seen it done on rally cars (also seen a wrx with a massive air filter in place of the TMIC).. im wondering about putting one on my car myself..

Thats a great setup. I've also heard possum Bourne did a mod where he reversed the flow through some heads. So exhaust above and intake below.

i was trying to find the pic from the recent WRC event over here, it was a prodrive wrc car and the filter was literally as big or bigger than a TMIC.. pretty crazy.. do you guys reckon a oil cooler is a worthwhile investment? there not exactly expensive..

Thats a great setup.

An oil cooler in a must if you have an auto.

For a manual I see little benifit.

here is another pic (on a dedicated race car but still smile)
http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m91/Opticalnz/15092006003.jpg

p.s. yes it has two(well kinda three), the top mounted one is a power-steering and trans/diff cooler and the one hiding behind the redundant passenger headlight is the oil cooler..

I wonder if that would work with the twins LOL

IMO if you have an auto a trans/oil cooler is a must.

And If you like to stall up the auto then its even more a must.

Get a second hand one out of an EA/B/D Falcon, about the same size & prolly about $10 instead of whatever that one cost:)

Good thinking there 99, they would be a little bigger too...

Transcooler fora an auto is a good cheap upgrade, but for the Noobs, dont expect it to be anythign you notice while driving the car!

I got over 800,000K's out of an auto in my EB taxi so I know they work well, only reason it stopped was cos the little balls in the valve body wore out & were going where they shouldn't so it was selecting 2nd & reverse at the same time, the poor thing was hammered for over a million K's & never used a drop of oil, shows how good LPG is for your motor.smile

The scoop/inlet mod is a dry weather only mod! Would not be the best for your motor if it rained.:suicide:
