Gen 3 GX to Gen 4 GT

I know this may seem like a daft question, im looking at moving on to a say '04 GT Auto.

Now going from the little GX auto (love the car just would like a little more power), Im going to take a GT for a spin this weekend to see how it feels, but as a heads up will there me a marked improvement?
