G'day Eh!

  Top of Page

Greetings from snow covered Canada.I love Subarus and my 98 Legacy Outback (other than the fact the ej25d is making alot of noise).  I get misfires in 3 of 4 cyls and main bearings could be worn, i wont know till spring. Gonna remove engine, check it out, and decide if i want to put in an imported ej20 twin turbo. How much would it cost to ship an engine to Canada? I can buy one here for about 800 C/US $ or an sti for 4000+ depending on version. Anyway, love the site, seen some cool Subarus i havent seen on american sites. you guys really love your cars. see ya around.

Hi,

Welcome to the site, I see lots of Canadians through my neck of the woods as I live in a tourist town.

Now is probably a great time to be thinking about importing an engine, with your dollar travelling so well. For my money, if I ever need to replace my engine, which is a TT, I'll be looking for a single turbo...

Sorry, I can't help you on freight costs.

Enjoy the site.

Cheers,
Nik
