G'day, G'day, G'day

  Top of Page

Hey everyone,

A mate a work put me onto the site as I am looking to buy another Suby. I already own a Gen 3 Outback(completely stock and driven by the missus) and was looking at buying probably a Gen 2 Liberty as my run about.

I like to think I'm fairly well mechanically minded and will attempt to fix anything myself. to date, I haven't failed (knock on wood). The most in depth I would say that I've been into a motor, is repairing the head gasket on my '96 Camry, although I have done a complete motor replacement on my wife's old Laser. That was a fun weekend. I love to tinker.

I'm an apprentice cable jointer and have come from an IT background (strange concept I know - a computer nerd who's good with his hands??)

In the process of renovating my house at the moment (plastering is definatly not as fun as pulling a head of a car wink and am loving fatherhood. I have 2 kids, one is almost 3 and the other is almost 6 months(and just starting to crawl - eek).

I look forward to sharing my 2 cents as I start to get a feel for what's acceptable on the site and hope that you'll also be able to help me in time to come.

Cheers guys and gals!

Shannon

Not really looking for anything in particular - just something within the budget.  Still trying to convince the missus.  I love the feel of an awd - the front wheel drive on the camry gives me the sh1tes!  and I want an auto.... i'm over manuals for now.

once I finish my trade, I might think about a project car.  see how the finances go.
