Future Supra?????

Does anyone know whether this car is also the new Supra?

That is the Lexus LF-A, I doubt it will be badged as a Supra

it clearly has a lexus badge on the front of it its some posh new lexus that they have chucked a big engine in to race it

The thing is still in concept form, but speculation says that it may find its way into production with a 500hp 5.0L V10 big_smile Super fun happy times

If you google image search the Lexus LF-A it has pics, they look very very similar.

I realize that it is the Lexus LF-A, but Toyota has been talking up Supra for a while. Will they build a budget LF-A.

I would doubt it mate. This thing is going to be a very expensive car, a fair chunk of change more than a GTR.

Hi,

It would be awesome if it came about! That article is from May last year.

In a 'related article' they mention Toyota announcing a Celica for 2009, using the exact same picture.

Whatever it is, I'm sure it will be nice. Let's just hope it's not a Jap/US only thing...

I read they were bringing out a new supra. They were going to have 2 versions, an electric model thats supposedly very quick and a v8 version. The pics i seen looked very similar to the lexus

Yeah this is the Celica that was going to be running two versions of Subaru running gear under the skin.  One was an NA RWD the other a turbo 4WD set up.

There's an old thread here somewhere which covered it.

i don't see why that lexus couldn't pass as a supra, at least a similar shell with a lower spec motor, seeing as toyota own lexus, they could definitely borrow parts, much the same as they did with the Aurion Presara (i used to work for toyota big_smile)
