by WhiteRX on 10-12-08 06:24 PM Yeah, cut up the bin and stick it on your car if you can. That will be the most awesome modz evaz. Make sure you put up a DIY so all of us can do it too.

I don't think you see where i'm getting at. I don't want one for 'aerodynamics', I just need one so the lip will stop scraping. I don't want to pay the massive price they offer on ebay either. Just looking for a cheaper alternative... |

It will never look integrated or any good imo. Your not after a splitter then, you just want a guard under the spolier. Is you car lowered much? Just drive carefully and dont waste your time. |

by Grisly on 11-12-08 11:50 AM you could try and undo the screws holding the plastic moulded under your front bar and re setting it to sit on the external edge of your front bar. However if you do this you will scrape the moulded part away. |

RX front bar is a one piece item, not an add on lower spoiler. Plus sitting it on the outside edge of the bar (if possible) would look absolutely ****ed! |

A guard will do. I drive as slow as possible in and out of drive ways and it still scrapes. The car isn't lowered and I drive very carefully. Ideally I need a large piece of plastic that can be cut yet withstand the driving environment. |

by ericmcg on 12-12-08 06:26 PM A mate of mine had the same problem and he got a local firm to cut him a 2mill thick and an inch wide strip of metal and he riveted to the underside of his front spoiler. It still scrapes the ground when going in and out of his driveway but the metal strip stops te paint from being scratched. And looking from the front of the car you would not know it was there. |

by aurelius on 21-12-08 07:37 PM Did you use that for the underside as well or just the rubber around the bumper? I don't think that would look very good on a GII RX. |

by hoffdog on 23-12-08 09:37 AM if the car isnt lowered and you say u drive very slow and carefully and it still scrapes i dont think you are grasping the idea of trying to avoid scrapes by driving up steep driveways and such at an angle. |

by ericmcg on 26-12-08 08:42 PM The metel strip is handy too because the road authority in Dublin seems to have a major fetish at the moment for bigger and bigger speed humps, some of the newest ones they have put up you almost need a monster truck to get over. My car is not lowered and there are roads around where i live that i have to avoid because i just cant get over the speed bumps without scraping something on them... |

You are not the only area in the world to suffer from this. The was once a speed hump so steep that you would almost get air travelling over it at the recommended speed of 20km/h. True that the comment of grapsing how to drive up or down a driveway at an angle. |
