Flip Boots?

i found pictures of flip trunks/boots on ebay, just wanna know whats the go with them? worth doing it? or how much wll it really cost etc

I think the question should be: How bling do you want the car?

My concern is that with the extra long lever arms, you may have a slightly reduced boot space (depending on how they fold down when the boot is closed). I'm a fan of functionality over looks though, and design may mitigate this, so it might not even be an issue.

cause i bought one of these things off ebay like 5 months ago (when i had a sedan) from the same seller, and after i bought it, i realised it was a waste of money, i never even put the disk in the computer when i got it. anyway its up to you.

2. where the boot is bolted to the strut/arm assembly, a hinge is fitted so instead of the boot being fixed when opened it it can pivot to a dead stop that sees the boot sitting horizontal when open.

I know exactly how they work, and think they are a waste of time and dont look good. But thats the beauty of personal choice.  big_smile

Hi,

Do it.

I'd be worried about the longevity of the hinges. Also, what stabilises the bootlid when opening closing? It would seem it is an awkward device to operate?
