Just got my photos back from the photo shoot for FF and thought that I'd post some up for all to see.

Wow... Definitely unique.

Not sure if it appeals to my personal tastes but I've gotta hand it to you, looks like an absolute arseload of work has gone in to it, and it looks really really well done.

Congrats on the great ride man smile

You have to appreciate the amount of work that you obviously have put into it. Certain aspects are personal choice of course.

Top Job. :good:

Not a fan. Sorry.

All in all, its not a bad car for a budget build for someone who is colourblind.

I like it.
OK, there are bits I don't like (such as the gauges) but overall the really good ideas & execution far outweighs the small points that aren't to my taste.

But it's not MY car, so of course it's not built to my taste.

I reckon it's a fantastic effort with lots of good ideas, and some very good detail work.  I wrote a column recently for Street Commodores Magazine, criticising the trend towards cheque-book builds, and the lack of unique & DIY mods in the car scene these days.
This is exactly the sort of car that fits the mould I was encouraging in that coloumn - a great DIY effort with unique ideas, and extreme detailing.

Well done.  The FF feature only backs the fact that it is a car that impresses.

Each to their own I can respect that
As for the budget build, you obviously think it was cheap and looks tacky. And you obviously feel that the colour coordination is skewed.
In my opinion, I think you need your head examined. I doubt you have any idea what it takes to build a car like this with this much detail. You must be one of those people who paints things with spraycans and end up with runs everywhere. Or the guy that fixes something thats broken with super glue, or instead discards the broken item thinking its not needed
But thats just my opinion.

As for STI parts, most of the gearbox, Pedal set, fuel rails, badges and thats about it. The car is not an STI, I never said it was.

Again. You shoot your mouth as soon as someone criticises your ride. What did you expect when you posted pictures of your car onto a forum... worship?! Sorry, kind sir. I'm not quite basking in your awesomeness. You post pics, you have to realise that it will be met with objectivity. Especially with your controversial claims (but let's not go there right now!!!!)

I've been in "that" scene in the past, so I do believe I have an idea as to what's necessary in making a neat car. Not wanting to draw comparisons here, but feel free to ask other members here about my vehicle's presentation. You'll find that with your opinions, you're making an ass-umption of yourself. Sure, I haven't pulled my plastic swaybar links or springs off to paint, but personally, I'm more of a function type of guy over aesthetics. wink

Budget came to mind when I saw the dash in chrome spray paint (with poor prep, mind you!), retrimmed stocko LX seats in fabric which colours are somewhat questionable, and the 70's'esque two tone vinyl looking roof. I apologise if I may have offended, but its what I thought of when I saw it.

But I'm glad it floats your boat, and promotes your wares from your shop to the kiddies.

You have said that by putting a "Tuned by STi" badge in your car....
How can "Most of the Gearbox" Be STi, when its FWD.
Elaborate on the Fuel rails also...

You should probably know what your on about before critisising other members too.

Put your claws away dude and READ CAREFULLY. I stated clearly that it was my opinion, and that it is each to their own. Im not out to chase praise for my car, nor do I care if it doesnt suit your desires. As for the vynil roof lining, chrome spray paint etc I thing you should get your eyes checked or better still see the car first hand before makin an schlep of yourself. I apologise for the fingerprints on the ashtray, I should have cleaned it better for the photos. And if you reckon thats "chrome spraypaint" you're wrong (yet again) as its fine silver with a flattening base (PPG infact)
The roof lining is actually veleour which in effect makes you wrong (again).

Bag the car all you wish. I know exactly what it is and how well its been built. And if you were truely in "that scene" before you would know that its not tacky and cheap-unless of course you wish to take it up with the show judges who have given it its collection of trophies to date.

THATS MY OPINION, but Im sure that you will know better as you sir must be God

Right. Let's just leave it at the point where I don't like this car. My observations clearly have offended you. I apologise you got upset. But refraining to name calling makes you look pretty bad....something you already established pretty well over at RSLC. Offering discounts may win you some hearts back...

Perhaps you should learn to accept criticisms not as being personal attacks. You may get further in life.

Schlep....hah! I'm not Jewish! :bye:

Re: Flawls Pix

i got the magazine, i can see alot of work has been done to it but i just think the wrong work has been done, like painting every thing on the car including window washer bottle but keeping FWD, especially when pushing so much power you must love torque steer. My stock LX FWD is a c*nt with torque steer so id hate that thing...

just my opinion but other then that it does show how much power can be acheived with the ej22, but still i think some of the $$$ could have been used to make a better more drivable car rather then a big engine that means the car can hardly go straight if you stomp it...

Looks excellent from the outside. Not a fan of pins or external gauges unless it's on a 10 second car though.

Hate the interior. Keeps bringing back memories of cheap and nasty lancer builds.

Safe to say it was done with all autobahn gear?

Will have to grab Fast Fours for a proper look. Is it the latest issue or a future one?

Some stuff was sourced through Autobarn but the majority of it was sourced from here there and everywhere. Its the current FF issue with the Black RX7 on the cover.

wow does this mean we agree?????
u say "chrome" spray paint . . .dont ppl know THAT THIS IS NOT ACCULY CHROME IN THAT CAN???
the "chrome and gold" looks very tak'e
i think what makes it tak'e is the fact that it is so dam obvs that u have spent a sh1t load of time on it, but the results dont tend to match

but yeh u get an "A" for effort champ

i could have got a charade and FULLY SICK neons to look better then under to bonnet of that, it just looks plastic

Ive seen your car corner "B4" and there is many a 200sx that would be getting intimate with the rockwall while you disappear into the distance.

....AN 11 SECOND VL IS STILL A VL....
