if you all think that is bad i have a freiend with
a gen1 wagon that he goes off road abit in and
he was saying somthing about going to get his
diffs welded up?????

i just laughed at him and said goodluck!!!lol

the tard welded the wrong part..lock difs still actually turn  so you can drive LOL..

no wonder he wrecked his driveline lolool

mate there is nothing wrong with welding his diff up! it's just not legal or practical.
you just go about welding your diff in this fashion. normally you jam a chunk of steel in the spider gears and weld it in solid. very easy and effective for off road.

i think gwinny meant his mate was welding up multiple diffs, just rear is obv fine if you dont mind the ch ch ch sound on each corner, but multiple diffs could be rather interesting to turn

Was an epic thread until I read that it was all a set-up and the guy only welded a ****ed diff for ****s and giggles, to see if he could raise a few eyebrows on his own forum....
Ah well.. had someone had done that I would have laughed

the whole purpose of an open diff is that it allows the wheels turn at different speeds to each other in order to turn. if you lock the rear diff, it can manage and one wheel will just skip as you turn. lock the front diff too and your turning becomes pretty damn difficult and will result in LOTS of understeer. lock the centre diff also and good luck getting further than your driveway:lol:

thought that might have been the case
as i previously said he is one of those ppl that think
they know EVERYTHING!!!
but i did try and warn him just hope im there to see
