hi all
just wondering if anyone can help me out with this im using a gigabyte motherboard with a nvida stock graphics card has 2 video outputs 1 vga the other dvi.

i have 2 monitors connected to it but cannot get anything to show on the monitor connected to the digital output (dvi) went through the nvida settings and came across hardware acceleration and it says single view but i dont know how to change it

if anyone can help me to get both monitors working it would be much appreciated

Dude U need to go to the control panel, click on appearance and then select display, in display properties then settings, click on the #2 box(for 2 monitors) and then select extend my monitors or similar and apply and restart.

Try second utility, if no go then go control panel, hit performance and maintenance, click system, then select hardware and then device manager, look for any yellow error stamps, check your display adaptors and monitor device, if any problems double click on issue, go to drivers in properties and update driver through internet.

Is it an on-board on separate video card? It could be possible the card doesn't actually support a dual monitor setup.

its an on board yeah i thought that there is a chance it doesn't support dual monitors but the program and driver that came with the mother board says other wise. i think if i can just get a picture on the digital output then i think i will be in business.

If its onboard then check the bios settings. There is most likely a setting to enable/disable one or both of the vga/dvi outputs.

i had a look through the bios and all i found was settings to adjust weather to use the on board or an after market i couldn't see anything about the dvi in the book that came with the mother board it just mentions that you can have a monitor connected to the dvi port.

i think i might just buy a new graphics card to save on the headache.
thanks for all your help.
