and there's always schmucks that couldn't resist.

I have seen a Gen2 GT TT with two GFB BOVs. I don't know what's involved in putting in the second one, as it has a special role in the transitioning from the primary to the secondary turbo.

It's best not to fiddle with the second one unless there are issues.

GTR skylines run a dual BOV setup from factory, due to teh reason to be able to vent enough air, to avoid compressor surge, so yes it is quite possible. I would say if you run massive boost on a big turbo and u notice that ur current (big) BOV is no longer able to vent enough air to reduce compressor surge, it becomes a viable option, but i am sure there are still a few resources left out there to upgrade to wink

BOV's are over-rated.. I'll be the first to say it..

they are great for attention.. that is all..

when you start to look at T04's with external gates and stuff, then maybe you might need a BOV... even then... the chop sounds so much better through a cooler with no BOV at all!smile

I agree.

But, I found that I lost throttle response when I ran no BOV.

no dose for me. (for now, at least.)

id u dont like BOVs, dont get an atmo one.

BOVs perform an important task and are not just a ricey shiney dick on ur car, xxb4xx. do you really think that automotive companies spend millions developing these products just for the hell of it. BOVs do prolong turbo life, due to reducing compressor surge, hence the shaft will not flog out as qiuickly.

leaking  BOVs can cause lower performance, richer mixtures and the assosiated effects.

Standard TT's require boost recirculation valve on the secondary turbo. Don't mess with it. The look at www.gfb.com.au if you want an aftermarket BOV on the primary side.

they run 2 as std. the one one the secondary effets the spoolup (vod) of the changeover. i blocked mine to see what it did and on a dyno it even lost power somehow.

if it aint broke, dont f** with it.
but do what you want to the primary bov, its only there for response on gearchange.
