Dodgy Window Washers

  Top of Page

Well, I finally got my car back yesterday from the Panel shop.
On the way back I stopped at a major Intersection, Hoddle and Victoria street in Melbourne, this is a regular spot for those pests, the dodgy smacky window washers.

Now this guy asked me if he could do it, I said No, and asked again, I said No again, but he did it anyway, When he finished, he asked for money, I said bugger off, i'm not paying when I said no, and I started to drive off as the lights went green, on the way though this prick scratched my freshly painted rear panel!!!!  :angry2:  He left a 20cm long scratch, I think it should be right after a good polish, but I am so pissed off!!

Man that sucks! Did you stop at the lights and chase him, or not notice until you next stopped? Do you see him there regularly? Should get the cops on to him.

They all do shit like that...i just give the money so they can piss off but it hardly happens to me. They only pick on people with 1 person in the car.

I absolutely HATE these guys. I HATE it particularly when you politely indicate 'no' and they start doing it anyway.  In my wife's last car one of them managed to pull the wiper arm off in his hurry to lift it up, then the light turns green...

Plus I had one bloke 'wash' the windows of my just-cleaned and detailed 3 month old car one Sunday morning; I had shaken my head and said 'no' - apart from zips and belts leaning on the front guard the screen was left smeary with lines across.

Maybe, 'really sorry bro, I seriously don't have any cash on me' is the best way....

When i had my Peugeot some prick asked if he could wash my windscreen, I told him no. He washed it anyways - too bad for him the car had rain sensing wipers and they went off on him lol. The prick thought I did it him hahaha..

try using some Meguairs ScratchX and see if u can get rid of it with that. unless u really want to do a full car polish.

scratchX is quick and easy, just rub it into the scratch and wipe off and it mite come out lol
