To all those who want to drive in the dirt this day is for you.
The Queensland WRX club has hired the Dirt circuit at IWMAC for a full day of fun this Saturday 29/08/09. This event has been run previously so some of you have been to the event before. For those of you that haven't it is a great day to see if you are interested in driving on the dirt whilst not being an all competitive day.
The track is re-surfaced with a fine grit so it is paint friendly.
There will be a professional rally school in attendance to hop in your car and give instruction.
Option 1 - Cost for the day will be $80 per person for members or $100 for non-members.
Option 2 - You can take up the membership option similar to the LVMA. If you are a member you can get a free entry and a free entry for your mate. Just sign up your mate as a new member and you both get a free entry.
Option 3. If you are not members and have a mate that wants to come for a run then you can both have a free run just for joining up together. (membership is $85 each for 12months)
Payment can be made by calling or SMSing the Treasurer on 0416 053 241 with your Mastercard or VISA details (Cardholders Name, Card Number, Expiry Date, 3 digit Security Number). You can pay the $80/$100 into the club bank account and then email the Treasurer on treasurer@wrxclubqld.org.au This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it to let them know (NAB, BSB 084423 ACC 699 084 817). Make sure your deposit includes your Name and the Event (Dirt Day). You can also pay by cash, credit card or cheque at any Club Meeting or at the track, but you must have booked the spots.
Gates will open at 8am with the track opening at 9am. Lunch and Drinks will be available at the venue.
The IWMAC (Ipswich West Moreton Auto Club) website has some more info on the track http://www.iwmac.org.au
Any car is suitable so long as it is safe, you don't need a roll cage or anything like, just an approved helmet and wrist to ankle clothing. No Rally Tyres.
Regards
Dave
