They'd do what many L and P platers do and hide it behind dark tinting, conceal it behind number plates or just not wear it at all. And they won't get caught for it for a very long time. There should be no D-plate. Just an "S" for "swift kick in the ass" IMO. |

by XoN on 26-04-07 10:19 AM How about instead of introducing yet another confusing "plate" scheme, if someone is that sh1t a driver, don't give them their f*cking licence back. Tell them to go buy a push bike. |

by mitchb4u on 26-04-07 10:24 AM i guess it's just shame tactics. if they don't display the plates and get done again they will lose the license and they will be off the street. i wouldn't surprised if that gets passed and we see it by the end of the year. |

by thenams on 26-04-07 10:39 AM Once upon a time people after completing there sentance (in this case a suspension of licence) there were assumed a free man. So do you want people who have been in jail for 60 years for a crime come out and have to wear a t-shirt saying "Armed Robber".

Mate there's a bit of a difference between spending 60 years in jail becoming close friends with a guy called babba, and just not being able to drive for 3 months... From what I've seen of people that have had their licence suspended (quite a few sadly) they are by no means reformed. |

by milkman on 26-04-07 03:36 PM The D plate won't work. You'll get f*cks who'll be proud of it and probably drive according to their plates. C'mon I see it every year at autsalon when oxygen theives proudly display 50 fines infront of their fully sik lancers.

Driver training is fantastic for someone that is already a good, or at least willing to learn, driver. If you're a pain in the ass VL driving hoon, it'll just make them an even worse driver because then they'll think they're even MORE invincible... |
