All they asked about the car is how long i have had it for, because they must have a few notations about my last car..

Yeah good blokes. Thats also just the sweet things with Libs. If you were in say a WRX or Lancer Evo or something like that I wonder how they would react. They would probable be like "HOOOOOON!!!! Lets take him down" LOL.

I thought they had to get a digital readout to do you for speed. Bottom line is traffic cops are a really bad blokes if they were any good they would be somewhere else doing real police work. I met a good bloke cop once, young bloke about 28 or so. He was in major investigation group here in perth,  he pulled me over and gave me a 15min talking to about cars, fines and basically about not wrapping my car around a pole because it'd be a tradgedy to ruin a nice car. And he also reminded me that if he was a traffic cop he would fine me a for a few different things, then his word were 'an then you'll think all cops are d***heads and you'll forget the real work we do'. But he obviously was going somewhere in the force and was a resonable bloke. It affected me more than any fine has or probably ever would.

I had something liek that happen wiht my but it was a traffic guy!!!

Got caught on the laser gun doing 94 in a 70, got pulled over had a bit of a chat. the cop basically said i could ruin your day and give you a fine or i could send you on your way and i know that you wont speed again, which option do you want?

having no fine helps.. if he fined me, i would be more inclined to do it on purpose.. atleast this way i know how close i came to being drilled, and appreciate the fact that i was only warned

I've never had a road incident with the cops, although I've been told that they can't do anything if they don't have a radar, SO never admit the speed you were going, just blatently say as blonde as you can, "Ah, I really wasn't watching, hey?"

Just think how fit you would have got walking to work every day though....

I'll throw something else in to stir the pot,

I remember once they were doing EPA and RTA inspections at the harbour bridge in the city, there was (no joke) about 6 cars in front of me, a few WRX's and a couple of skylines and other Jap turbo cars, I was in my commo V8, the only V8 there which for its age was admireable to look at and listen to,

The cops that were standing there flagged everyone of them over for inspection, i though i was done for, then when I drove past they gave me a nodd and a smile and let me go, when i looked in the rear view I seen an rx3 behind me pulled over by the cops, the driver was yelling at the cop pointing at me wondering why i wasnt pulled over,

HAHAHAHAHA!!!!! it was gold!,

The cop was about 50, and looked as though he had grown up with good Ol' aussie grunt!

thats why i loved my 8, hardly ever got picked on, most cops used to just listen to it! haha
