converting liberty to STI

Has any one ever heard of any one putting a STI 6spd conversion into a MY01, MY02 or MY03 Liberty/ Outback. If so what did they have to change.

This depends on what type of conversion. Could be a full engine conversion with the 6 spd box or just changing the gearbox to a 6 spd. You need to specify what it is that your after.


And Franks only had the motor put in, he still has the standard B4 box from memory

I have done it to my B4.

Need the gearbox,
some studs to adapt to the driveshaft from the front of the gearbox
an automatic liberty's tailshaft
rear 3.9 diff (transfer the liberty LSD into that)

all bolts straight up.

The Aus Spec B4 should have come with the 6spd box like the s401
