condensation on windscreen

  Top of Page

Hi All,
Although it has been cold recently i have noted some absolutely shocking amounts of condensation on the inside of my windscren. (as in it will litterally be dripping wet, large droplets of water, and last time i soaked up several paper towels). This never used to happen on my car (and ive had it through cold winters before). Its a gen 2 liberty.

Does anyone know what could be causing this?
I have tried applying fogex but even that does nothing.

I have checked for leaks and there doesnt seem to be any. it seems to be worst at the bottom passenger side of the windscreen always.

Cheers

Blasting the heater and then turning the car off not letting that hot air escape maybe?

had the exact same problem! Gen 2 wagon, didn't drive my car yesterday and went out last night to get a jacket and every window was covered in condensation, i have a feeling its due to my heater core or a leak somewhere leaking onto my passenger foot well, so check your floor isn't wet because mines always damp, and the condensation is worse on the passenger side

I've got this problem in one of my other cars at the moment.
The inside is always damp of a morning and stinks real bad!

From what my wife tells me, it's only started happening since the windscreen got a big chip in it. I wonder if there is something linked between the two?
