Clutch slips after car being jacked up at rear for a few days.

  Top of Page

So I'm in the process of fixing ex's gen 3 lib to sell for her. I jacked up the rear to replace the worn diff bushed, cv boot and rear muffler. put it all back together and I decided to take it for a quick drive to test it. Clutch is slipping now. Clutch was replaced only about 30,000 klms ago and it didn't slip before being jacked up for a few days.

My head is hurting trying to figure out issue. Here's my theories...

a) Input shaft seal is leaking and oil leaked onto clutch plate..
b) Being jacked up caused oil in gearbox/center diff to flow out of required areas...

I know, clutching at straws (pun intended)

Help!!!!

By the way, the car will be up for sale as soon as all the little issues are sorted. 2001 liberty wagon, silver, b4 rims, tinted and lowered on pedders springs....
