clutch pedal adjustment

  Top of Page

replaced the engine and clutch in my liberty RS recently and noticed that with the old clutch and the brand new (non hd oem exedy) unit, the clutch engagement point is quite high.

as far as ive read the system should not need a bleed as the changes are nice and smooth, but i can adjust the clutch pedal. the hydraulic system should compensate for clutch wear when this occurs but the grab point should not be just before you lift your foot of the clutch lol.

anyone adjusted a clutch pedal before ?

there is a threaded yolk setup between the clutch pedal and master cylinder in the footwell.
pull the pin/ bolt (i forget) out that attaches the yolk to the pedal shaft and adjust by winding in/ out the yolk until the desired pickup point is reached

cheers Rob, would you happen to know which was is which ?
does winding the bolt down towards the firewall raise or lower the engagement point?

ill give it a shot and see where the bolt is in relation to the pedal at the moment so i can get a reading of where it is now compared to engagement point and go from there.
