Hi,

The car held together pretty well. Testament to new car safety standards I s'pose, the fact that noone was hurt. Luck was obviously a factor as well.

They'll probably slow down after that.

it doesn't say the drivers in the sedan were on P plates...

and we aren't all idiot drivers... at least, not anymore than the rest of you...

they only chucked in the second driver and car because he was on his p's... he didn't crash or hurt anyone... though he was racing, being an idiot... they just want to hate on p platers some more...

The car crashed because it finally realized that it was a Ford and after a week of living on the edge it wanted to commit suicide.

Rule is if you were on your P's and owned a banned vehicle before the law came into effect than you are fine to still drive it, you can also apply for an exemption ie: Work or family car is turbo etc.

Funnily enough Learners have absolutely no restriction on what car they can drive, had one pass me on Northern Rd yesterday morning in a 8 series Beamer doing about 110-120 in an 80. Shame I was driving the Gf's rolla to work.

P-plates.....turbo's.....Fords....none of it matters, the moral of the story is Don't Fcuken Street Race!

I'm glad that this accident didn't end like most do, where the driver takes out pedestrians, a family car, or his own passengers and then walks away with out a bruise. I'm a P-plater and I believe in better testing and harsher penalties rather than restricitions, right now it's a case of guilty till proven innocent. But that's another story.
