Anyone got a car trailer / know anyone / want to tow a car for me?

I need a flatbed truck and its going from 2138 (Concord West) to 2777 (Valley Heights).

Looking to have it done either Friday or Saturday. Can anyone recommend anyone?

Asking the obvious question here, but you're avoiding hiring a trailer here?

Have you got a car/ute/truck/goat to tow with?

And in regards to towing... Good news I hope?

Hahah, hiring is not really an option for me coz i am under 25. I can get a ute I am not sure that it has a tow bar though. Even if I do that I can't get a trailer for the whole car.

And yes, good news - tow = car = EJ20t smile It is the donor vehicle ! :clapping:

Well, congratulations on the clearing up of the uncertainties.

As for towing... what day do you prefer? PM me your number, we'll chat. I'm sure we could come to some sort of arrangement.

Easy.

Go to the 'riff.
Wait outside panferrs.
Lasso a couple of goats, with offerings of chaff, hay, and a Britney Spears lifestyle.

Tie to car.

Whip. Keep whipping until you get to Valley Heights. They're mountain goats, they'll get up the mountain, no worries.

Once car is there, pull out Weatherby 30-06. Turn goats into compost.

Win.

That will be a fcking expensive tow on a flat bed!!
Even if you can get someone you know to help you out with car/ trailer tow, you'd be heaps better off.

Only other thing I can think of is I remember Mr_B4 saying something about he used to be a towie or somthing???.. Might have some contacts, so flick him a PM and see if he can help at all??

Good luck with it and congrats on the donor!!

Those "goats" outside panferrs are actually 'riff females. Although the look the same, and are just as capable of towing things, you will need more of them to tow a car than you would using 100% genuine mountain goat. :mda:

Well, I got this sorted on the weekend.

Alex (SOO081) came up and got to mine just before 10am with his fully sik dosin' 1990 landcruiser, y0. and then we went over to get the car trailer and off we went to concord.

I'd forgotten how bad the car really was and the fact that the thing did not even roll or have a chance of moving, so we sat around for a few hours scratching our heads and then Alex made some calls. Got on to Kosti who passed Alex's details on to a tow truck driver mate of his who gave us a call shortly after.

$250 for a flatbed tow from concord to my house in the mountains, was a great deal!

Was an alright day hanging out with Josh and Alex, eating some KFC and perving on WRX's cruising past.

BIG thanks to Kosti for the hookup, and to Alex who put up with me for the whole day and gave me a lift down there and back, AND hauled the (useless) car trailer around!

Typical got the car to mine and now i've got 2 white libs on the lawn, none work and the rain has just been pissing down ever since smile

No worries Dylan. I'm sorry I couldn't help any more than what I did. I guess we did try virtually everything. That flatbed made things soooooo much easier.

Big thanks should go to Kosti. He was the one who organised a flatbed within a couple of minutes of me calling.

Thanks to Josh for the use of his toilet. Your bidet was refreshing to say the least. May need to unblock it, though.

Good on you Alex and Kosti for helping Dylan out when he's in need! Even if the landcruiser and trailer didn't end up being much help in the end :suicide2:

Ahaha, s'alright matey you were a great help and great company too, thank you.

Was a good day anywho, hope you had fun at your party on sat night. That land cruiser is nuts though, don't know why you dont just scrap the GTB for that, it even has a CB in the thing haha :-) Huge turbo + no lag!

Yeh Kosti's got the hookups alright :-)

I got a car over on the dead lib too so both of them are covered up on my front lawn, and right now they are probably sinking in to the mud - stupid rain.
