Hello,

Thank you for your e-mail and being interested in my car because i really need to sell it ASAP !
First of all i would like to let you know why i am selling my car so cheap: one mounth ago i moved in Spain because of my job and now i live here with all my familly. The car has the steering wheel on the right side and nobody wants to buy it in Spain because all the cars has the steering wheel on left side here, so i need to sell it to Australia because the car is still registered in Australia and it's very easy to transfer the registration onto your name, without pay any import taxes or other taxes. Also i need money to buy another car certified in Spain with the steering wheel on left side so i can drive it here, really is not so easy to drive a car with the steering wheel on right side here.
Some words about the car:

Immaculate

condition inside and out.Reluctant sale.WRX 17in wheels with brand new Yokahama tyres.215x40x17.Cat-back 2in Sports Exhaust. Stainless Steel muffler.NGK Iridium Spark Plugs,K&N Pod Air Filter,10Stack CD Player Sony head unit, Alpine Speakers,WRX /Momo Steering Wheel,Short Shift Gear knob,WRX Front Bumper and side skirts,Rear Spoiler,Window Tint,Monroe Front Struts, WRX rear sway bar and Panhard arms front and rear

The price is AU $4,000.00 including all the shipping taxes and inssurance to Australia, the car will be shipped by AIR and will arrive within 7 days after the downpayment has been made.

Now if you understood me and you are really interested to buy my car, i am waiting your e-mail with your decision and i will provide you with the informations about shipping/payment method.

Best Regards !

Hello,

As i told you, i am from a short while here in Spain and i am not able to use Escrow because i don't know how it is working here. I have closed some deals through eBay untill now and everything went OK, so i would like to close this deal through eBay so we can be both protected. Yes i assure you that you won't have to pay any import taxes. Just the price for the car

I'll explain you how it is working right now:
1. You have to make 50% downpayment to eBay, your money will be kept in hold
2. I'll start the shipping to you after they will confirm me that the downpayment has been made
3. You will recive the car within 7 days, after you will recive it you have 14 days to test/inspect it.
4. After inspection period you have to confirm to eBay if you are satisfied with the car.
5. If you are satisfied with the car and you
want to keep it they will give me your money and you will send me the rest of money
6. If you are not satisfied with the car, you will send it back(taxes paid by me) and they will return your money because they will hold your money before you will confirm them your decision.

I hope you understand that this is safest payment method. If you agree with that please e-mail me your full name and address and they will provide you with all the informations you need to make the downpayment.

I am looking to hear from you soon.

Thank you.

Just get him to find cars around he is willing to actually look at. Good prices are out there you just need to be dedicated to look alot. Definetly check out ebay and the trading post and tell him to test drive it befor he buys.

I found when i looked that the carsguide, carsales and those kind of sites where a few k more than say the same car on the trading post and ebay.

I hope that helped smile

It would be worth spending the extra on something you can physically see and inspect.

Walk away while you still have your cash.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!! DANGER!! DANGER!!

Don't touch it!!

Do you know how much it would cost to airfreight a car in 7 days? Let alone what the import and stamp duties might be?

I saw a similar add on eBay not long ago for a BMW 318i convertible selling for around $4000 to $5000. I emailed an enquiry and then forgot about it. About a week or so later (I'm sure the listing would have closed by then) I got an email from a guy saying that he just moved to Ireland and took the car with him. He couldn't register it over there so was willing to send it back to Australia and sell it for such a cheap price, which would cover freight and duties. Went to look for the ad again and it had disappeared!

Sounds like a scam to me. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

BTW, is it me or has the ad on carsguide already disappeared?

It's not legit its another one of those nigerian scams. They steal someone elses car ad and uses it as their own and has a bogus phone number those are the tell tale signs.

Why the fck would anyone take their impreza GX to spain with them is beyond me also you'd be silly to believe them. If it was an M5 or something I'd understand, plus I don't think ebay has any funds holding thing goin' any money he/she will want you to transfer it to a western union account.

It's a rort I've seen it so many times, if you mate transfer the money he might as well burn it cos in the end it'll have the same effect he'll be $2000 poorer with nothing to show for it.

Haha these have been on carsales heaps lately, although have been happening for a while now. I think there was even an ad in the newspaper about it. At the moment there is a blue b4 on carsales and my friend sent an enquiry and got the exact same email as that! Stay very very clear from this guy!

Read all about these scams & many more on these forums, there are some really funny things here, have a look at the photo sections & audio, the things they get these scammers to do is amazing, If they have any personal details of your friend, IGNORE THEM, THEY CAN BE VERY DANGEROUS PEOPLE, in fact people have been killed for a few hundred dollars, but if they have no details you can have a lot of fun with them.smile

IF it seems dodgy it probly will be.

What they also is buy your car or whatever, send you a cheque for more than they should have, get you to send the difference back because the cheque seems to clear then you find out the bank knocks it back a couple of weeks later & you lose what you sent them.
