car chase

  Top of Page

Sitting in the backyard prepping a few parts for my interior, when i hear some guy doing what sounded like a burnout. i jumped up onto my fence and see a el falcon, jumping on the brakes flying up and down a main road, going around the side streets absolutely flying. he had a copper on a bike behind him. cop had lights on but no siren. he almost ran up the arse of my auntys car as they were just getting home from the shops.

my question is. once a chase is deemed to be unsafe, shouldnt the cops call it off? i mean sure it was entertaining, but seriously, this guy was sliding out everywhere, running up on gutters, in residential streets, he could have easily hit a pedestrian or lost it into a house.

i dont know the outcome of it yet, but i cant hear it anymore (he was screeching around every corner)

yes they should call it off after a certian speed or if its unsafe...but you must live in an area where there is shat loads of people walking that he could have hit....

i read maybe the first two.... errr. ummm.... are they words??

i dont think they caught him. there are roadblocks, they are checking cars for the guy. must be a bit more involved than a car chase i think.

Most car chases are over more than traffic infringements. It definately something to talk about on New Years day.

If they are HWP then it's pretty much up to the officer. If they aren't HWP trained then 160 is the cut off. Be a pretty long residential street for an EL to hit one siggity.

Cops aren't out there to hurt you.

Do you think if the guy got away, he found jesus straight away and stopped doing whatever made him run in the first place?

?

If they called it off so easily. Every nugget would run.
If they crash and injure or kill somone, well... they shouldnt have run, if they didnt run they wouldnt have killed someone.

Maybe the cops should just shoot them dead??

It would save innocent live's....

(Please note last statements are sarcastic....)

Well, to be fair mate, he was driving a Ford, so by my reckoning he deserves to die.

Re: car chase

they werent HWP. was a (bmw?) motorbike.
i havent heard anything, wasnt on the news. and no sign of a chopper, so i dont know what the go is with that.
he lost it once, took out the signs on a roundabout, but really, for a stock falcon, he was handling it really well, looked almost like a car chase you'd expect in a movie (was better since there wasnt any special effects).

BEST NEW YEARS DAY EVER!!!
