by vik on 30-11-11 06:15 PM Just been told that me bottom bearing is at it's beginning of it's ending. Past 2-3 weeks noticed a light knocking sound and weird noise when driving. I take my car to MSC, and this is the 3rd Subaru they have had in weeks, with both Outbacks throwing major over 5k rebuilds due to bearings. They saying by the sound and the engine being in otherwise top nick that most likely should be a straight but fiddly fix around 2k, but....be prepared for the worst. I'm about to sell the car, and this is the first time in 8 years that the GT has had any problems. If it's straight fix I'll bear the costs, but if major don't know?, anyone had above issues, advice? |

Yeah, I'll be throwing a steak to the Rotti at the local wrecker and scaling the fence to pocket a engine if it's not a replace and drive away with a smile job. |
