I was in Hangzhou, China last August and got picked up from my hotel in a Black H1 with full beige leather and the big mutha chromies. We went past a procession of 6(yes in a row)SL500's and they were all looking up at us. Really funny. That car really has some presence, it is so big.
But I must say the H1 was a heap of sh1t. It creaked and rattled and was built awfully, definately not worth the US$350 000 he paid(china has at least 100% duty tarrif on imported cars).
So, in closing, Hummers are sh1t IMHO.

The true American way.

Can anyone name 1 well built, quality American car?

This thread is going to be useless without pic's. So +1 to Alex.
I like the presence of the H2/H3. But, if it were me who had to get a big pimpin' 'look at me car', I wouldn't touch the Hummers, instead, I would get a X3/X5 or an ML, and Hamann it hardcore. Love the styling of their vehicles.

Like so.

And I would not put rubber bands on my over sized reflective dinner plates.

As for fast cars I've been in, at this stage, my mates Nissan Onevia. We were 16 when he owned it and as you can see on his L's.

I have driven a 450hp detuned british touring Cosworth and it would have to rate as one of the best drives I've ever had. No need for bling.

You've obviously never driven a Z06 Corvette. It'll out handle and out-brake any car off here. Also, while it uses push-rods I think a dry sump all alloy motor with titanium internals should be given some respect when it makes bulk hp, fat torque band and delivers its grunt right through the rev range.

Going off in a $250k Prius this arvo. Lexus LS600h. What a joke.

I do have some claim to fame: I was the only person from a magazine who drove the MRT P25 and DIDN'T have it lunch its motor on me. I guess I need to grow a pair, eh? :ninja:

Your uninformed opinion is then laughable. The Z06 will easily out-handle any Japanese production car out there, POSSIBLY short of the new GT-R (pfffft just another noisy Datsun). Around the Nurburgring Nordschleife that leaf-sprung crap box is only a couple of seconds per-lap off a Carrera GT's time (around 7min 28), meaning it is quicker than a 997 GT3 RS, Ferrari Scuderia, Ferrari Enzo, etc.

I suggest you find a way to drive one. It is a far better car than some pussbox Skyline even if the cabin quality is third world.
