That happened over a year ago!

I would get a Sony Laptop. But that doesn't fit into the $1500.00 price tag!

decided on a Dell Studio 15. $1299. Have talked to my tech head and he says it looks like a great buy!
battery pack fire?! we've had a Dell Inspiron for about 4 years and no fire! although the battery only lasts about 20-30 mins without being plugged in! time for new battery!

Best laptop for around 1500, Asus computers use Asus parts mainly, and Asus parts r very reliable. Dell overheat and have hardware issues, esp the display, Dell also over load there Harddrives with meanless software and spyware.

i bought my HP pavillion dv5 for $1200 bout 2 months ago and couldnt be happier

i didnt install all the hp features so it runs quite fast

when i was looking at laptops i looked for a dual core, graphics card and 2 gig memory which most manufacturers offer. i chose the hp because it looks good, has a big screen,  the keys are light to the touch and it has Altec Lansing speakers
