APS: ![]() http://www.airpowersystems.com/wrx/my01/tmic.htm Dimensions: 510mm x 190mm x 114.3mm Power: 240 kW / 320 hp PSI drop: 0.3 psi across the intercooler and 1.6 psi total pressure drop including the throttle body @ 240kW Process West, supposedly suits B4’s as well. ![]() http://www.processwest.com.au/website/p … p_tmic.htm Dimensions: ???mm x ???mm x 90mm Power: ??? I have sent Process West an email in the past regarding a TMIC specifically for the B4 or whether they had the knowledge of someone fitting this unit to a B4 but never received a response. If you know of other options, and can provide me with the links to chase up the detail I'm more then happy to add them in. Also if you have installed any of these TMIC, and I haven't currently linked to you like I have for Kosti or Adrian, please send me the lilnk and I'll add it as well. Cheers, GT |

by EVILRS on 19-03-08 07:32 PM Im pretty sure the 385,155,115 intercooler will fit on the b4 but the larger 510,200,113 intercooler is way too big and will hit on the primary turbo. I have fitted the larger of the two intercoolers to two gc8 wrx's and these needed substantial mods to fit including relocating the clutch master cylinder reservoir, making new intercooler mount brackets and modifying the firewall structure. I can take photos and give measurements of two similar intercoolers I have at my work that have come from china but are pretty good quality and will try and fit the smaller of the two onto my car. |

by b4libby on 02-10-10 12:16 PM Mate, a bit behind but I have a hyperflow unit, and I found it in conjuction with an ECU reset to be a great investment. The car runs a lot better and smoother and the performance is a lot more consistent now. Its definately a worth while investment if your not planning on going mental with your mods. I weighed up a front mount and with all the chopping and intricate work to install a FMIC (including cutting up the crash bar) opted for the Top mount instead.

by BlueB4 on 03-10-10 11:24 AM Yeah the hyperflow is a good intercooler, was looking at getting the AVO one my mechanic told me had fitted a few and they are not that flash, got dump pipes and exhaust at the same time so its a little hard to comment on the effect of cooler alone, looking at the before and after dyno the pressure drop is much less on changeover now and it has a smother boost graph in general which might have something to do with the cooler. and yes heat soak is still there but it seems a little better, one of those things which is very hard to judge... |

by BigWillieStyles on 03-10-10 12:01 PM Anyone got an intercooler mist spray kit and care to discuss how they installed it. There was another member who came on the melbourne cruise a few months back who had a really good mist spray setup to avoid heat build up.
A front mount would be a better option in my opinion. There is a FMIC kit for the b4/GT legacy in NZ for that sells for around the 400 dollar mark. |
