its not to bad, really want to get it tuned. get the boost evened out to about 14PSI which will bring the tourqe up. which will increase the power slightly. but im more keen on the increase in tourqe, for the quickness.

Sorry to hurt your feelings, but it might be 172hp, or the Dyno is WAAAAAAAYYYY outta whack dude..

cause, with a turbo back exhaust, and a pod, on standard boost, you aint getting 172kw's...

find another dyno, and tell them to NOT do it on shoot out mode

thats why i asked the question brendan i am a bit suspect about the dyno

In the manuals it's 4th, Auto's are 3rd from what I remember,

Maybe I should get mine dyno'd in 2nd.. my powah gear, it would be like 250kw's! LOL

Same trouble here. Couldn't use 3rd gear as the speed limiter kicked in.  As for air temp sensor, the boys at Chiptorque showed us how easy it is to manipulate the dyno just by moving the sensor to a hotter part of the car. They put it at the back of the turbo on one of the cars on the dyno day and up went the poer significantly.


K, am sorry to say but I am a little hesitant to believe the graph when all the others I've seen have been around 130kws. Bring it out to the drags and we'll see how she goes hahahahahahaha.

the sheet is correct, i had 3 runs. 1st i made around 168, 2nd was the 172, and 3rd was around 169. the place i went to do their dynoing as follows:

5speed manuals get done in 3rd gear
6speed manuals get done in 4th gear

and i know that 4th gear has the closest ratio of 1:1, but thats how they do all their cars. the only mods i've got as as stated at the top. and i was only expecting around the 130 mark, and was very suprised at the result, and then i realised it was in 3rd gear. but i still think that its not a bad effort even if u take a few kW's for a roungh idea of a 4th gear run.

and BPS now have a AWD dyno, heard it threw sum sources of mine, haha.

and i shall check out your thread J. im pretty keen on a bit of a drive, tis been a while, lol

it's all a pissing contest really , dyno no's that is.
don't worry we've ALL been there b4 ( me especially ). hub dyno's ,roller dyno's, tyre pressure etc etc. too many variables and tricks of the trade on both.
only good indicator is to use the same place ,same dyno for a good comparison like a forum dyno day. that's why i took my car to sti docklands for a good comparison as a lot of other people have been there too, not perfect but still a good idea .
don't you worry, a b4 with TBE and a good tune is a quick car.
have a good look thru the dyno threads where you posted to get some idea where your at .
