Hey Alex,

Yeh I have a very big smile. big_smile

It went like a dream on the 1800km trip home and averaged just over 10L per 100kms sitting on a an average 115kmh. How nice is turbo whistle as it starts to spool up. big_smile

It gets registered on Wednesday (first available appointment) RW is done, so im just waiting for this so i can drive it to a car wash and clean it and then throw up some pics.

So you holding onto yours?

Cheers

Mark

Glad to hear Mark.

Yeah, I'm holding onto mine for now, but if the right offer came by.... smile

A few mods in the pipelines to come, but as some of you already know, I have more than my fair share on my plate at the moment, so the car isn't as much as priority at this stage.

So, what are some of the differences that you have noticed between the AUDM Lib, and the JDM Leg?

Ummm the GT has heaps more power then the LX. lol big_smile

The GT feels more solid on the road, more weighted down. Although obviously it is a heavier vehicle.Tthe variable steering has alot better feedback, the LX feels a bit vague.

Seats are firmer, a big difference in spec though, plus the electrics and climate control are a nice edition, back to my previous ride specs now. big_smile

One thing i found curious was that when i fitted my rear strut brace from the LX, The GT's strut tops are closer together by a noticeable margin.

Good to hear your keeping yours.

You forgot to mention roof bars wink

Fastastic economy by the sounds of it too. But that could be attributed to the fact that its a single!

Hoping that your missus isn't reading the forums, what have you got planned for this wagon? And don't say you don't have anything planned....!

Haha yeh roof bars, unfortunately i have paid for and waiting on a set from IM for the LX which i now dont need. Oh well.

My missus already read a PM i was writing to Paul about intended plans to which i was grilled about lol after a number of modded cars im used to it big_smile

First two things will be a turbo back exhaust, as the current setup is only catback and press bent 2.5". Then get the few "car park" dents taken out and a polish and detail.

Later, respray the front bumper, replace the badly scored drivers window and strip the mirror tint and retint black.

Have just finished the first stage of the custom grille at work today. Now just for paint and mesh.

HAWT DIGGITY DAYAMMMMMMN!!

Projectors + 6000k HID = EPIC WIN.

Now that you have a single turbo car, there's lots of reading to be done at RSLC regarding modifications. The original thread where Al and Miles ripped out the twins (to get me going!) can be found there too!

What muffler is on your ride at the moment?

IM also has many styling bits for the S1 Gen2's that look mighty tempting!!

Have you figured out the JDM door handle pin code thing yet?

Yeh i signed up to RSLC for some ideas wink

Atm the muffler is only a mild steel Lukey one. I think there will be definite gains to be had with a full system.

Im looking at IM on a daily basis, but trying hard to resist. I do want the slimline full length weather shields though, due the them being removed from the wagon originally buy someone who seemed over enthusiastic with a screwdriver, so a set will cover the marks.

Door pin code?

Manual would be so far at the bottom of the list atm.

More pics when clean wink

Go to your car.

Lower front driver's door.

Lock car.

Lift door handle.

Does the car make a "beep" noise?

Basically, if you lock your keys in your car, you can unlock the car without a key, through a combination of "lifts" of the door handle.

Send my your email via PM, and I'll give you the instructions to programming your very own 4 digit PIN code.

JDM > AUDM.

Thanks for the info Alex. Emailed recieved.

Cmon Alex, give me some credit. A cannon muffler will never ever ever be considered for a car of mine. I just cant stand them.

Will go for a s/steel oval muffler, Xforce as ive had a few and been happy with them or a Magnaflow item. My mate sells both.

alan has a magnaflow at the shop. its off a GC8, but he'll mod it to suit the GT. looks awesome, its about a week old i think.

Dunno about the xForce though mate, they make the rexxies sound a bit tinnie, so it'd be the same story for your car

Sweet.

I've heard some magnaflow muffs, and they sound great.

Either an oval muffler with a 5" Tip, or an oval muffler with twin 3" rolled tips FTW.

I wouldn't say tinnie, but I'd say quite loud. Once they build up the carbon, not tinnie.
Congrats on the car looks great, I would have loved to see it but you drove right past you rude mongrel.

I'll be the echo here.
Personally i think they look great with the gen1 bars. But the shape of the exhaust opening on the Gen2 really lends itself to the big single tip.

Thats a 3" tip i believe.

Thanks Frank.

I drove through many, many places quite fast in the 2 day 1800km trip wink

Only stopped at Dubbo o/night. big_smile

As for the tip yes it will be a large single to suit the skirt, and that Magnaflow one at Blitzies sounds like a winner to me John. Have to check it out monday.
