I personally cannot understand the logic. Why shut down a bustling city of millions of people, when you could fly all these people in comfort to a city such as Alice Springs. Stopping one of the largest CBD's in the country is retarded.

Is it simply that so many billions of dollars were spent in a knee jerk reaction to September 11? We now need to showcase the ridiculous expenditure of 'bomb trucks' and so forth.

I work in Surry Hills and only have to travel to Central station, So far everything is as normal for me, except yesterday afternoon when I couldnt get a train from central to petersham, had to go to ashfeild then catch a train back in. apparently some dude got hit by a train at newtown. I also think its a Joke that they can shut down so much of the city just cos some monkey and his chimps are here for a few days. from friday until sunday circular quay, Museum and St. James stations are actually closed.....the only good thing to come out of this stupid arrangement is a public holiday on the friday for people working in and around the CBD . I personally dont think the government should have the right to tell locals that they cant travel to certain areas of the CBD. They can get Fvcked

well most of that area has been made temporary clearways. so people cant park on the streets in a hell of a lot of places while this joke is taking place. yet another inconvenience :yes2:
