This is a bit of a quiz.
Can anyone tell me what vehicles these items may come from?

Well the bottom crank is from an 6 cylinder engine with chain driven cams... ermm... I don't think I'd be able to pick the configuration, whether it be inline, flat or V. Looks modern.

The top is out a 4 cylinder engine... looks to an older vehicle?

They are all clearly parts from the Flux Capacitor.

Hmm... I don't think so? Looks a little too short?

Nope... It's definately not from an inline six... Look how close the pistons would be to each other. My money goes on a EZ30 crank.

OKKK... rethinking... considering the offsets of where the connecting rods attach, perhaps it is a V type motor?

bottom one

v6, either commodre, nissan vq30 or late model toyota...

im locking toyota v6 from camry/avalon as these has a timing chain as opposed to belt

they are crank shafts...

the first is an inline engine, the second i think is a v6...

i wouldn't have a clue what engines they are actually from...

No way. Older than that. I'd be guessing something rather gutless.

Also take note that the crank isn't one piece, either.

14nce is very close on the second crank.
Another hint, the second one has heavy metal inserts for balancing. Eg: Tungsten.
But nobody is even close on the first. BTW the crank is one piece.

BTW the 4 banger is definately not a Sigma crank, seen enough of those ****ers in my life to eliminate it from the possibilities - did you know the came in two different diameters for the mains?.

It's also not an early datto unit either.

I reckon it might possibly be an old ford ****ter.

Reckon the V6 one is from the supercharged Ecotec.  Extra Tungsten to balance out the POWA!!!

Formula 4000 Scat crank with the tungsten inserts to internally balance the crank. Each tungsten insert weighs 150gms. Twice the weight of the corresponding size of cast.
Well done to Geoff and a bit to Brendan too.
Engine was balanced previously with weights on the flywheel.
C'mon poofs, what is the first one?
