Sad to see this keep happening but its no real surprise these days.

If america ends up going into a fairly bad recession i would not be surprised at all if the country started to self destruct.

Dont worry about the gun control, there are just too many of thoe f**ers going around. Too many emos on myspace. Guns are just part of the problem so maybe they should start to think why these ppl are so stuffed in the head that they have to go around killing other people.

It just happens more often in the USA because there are more psychos there. The monash guy was from China and got sick of being ostracised so he goes and shoots ppl in his class who made fun of him. Martin Bryant was a stuffed in the head country hick. Those in the US seem more random and nobody will ever know what/how those people think. Turning the gun on themselves just shows how weak they are and they're lucky they dont survive.

Yes I am a seppo, so I have heard this crap for ages. Americans are stupid and all of this trash. Easy to criticize others without looking at ones own problems.
No offence is intended to anyone, I am just venting.

Interesting though - we learned quite quickly from our mistakes - not long after Pt Arthur, we had all semi-automatic rifles banned from sale and anyone who had them were told to hand them in.
Admittedly, not all shootings can be stopped with restrictions, but many could have been. If the states used a similar mentality, sure, you would piss off a lot of people who take the right to bear arms very seriously, but you would stop a lot of the mass shootings with rifles. I would hate to think how many more incidents we would have here if you could simply walk into woolies and buy a semi-auto rifle and all the ammo by simply providing a drivers licence...and then walk out with it all in 10 to 15 minutes flat.
Don't take me as someone who is one who hates all firearms though, as I myself go recreational shooting. I'm just stating that control works in 90% of cases. You will always have those who will work on procuring them despite the laws, but the majority will respect them.
My thoughts on the matter anyway.
