Another newbie!!!

  Top of Page

Hello fellow liberty drivers.

Had my '97 RX lib for about 2 years now.  1st car was a VW Beetle so I guess you could say that I just upgraded to a more sofisticated flat 4.  I swore to god that I would never modify another car ever again.  I went overboard on my last car and you basically needed earplugs and a kidney blet to drive the thing.  In future I think that car is going to get a suby heart, turn it into a sleeper.

Now here I am again contemplating upgrades - but this time with wisdom and restraint in mind.  Here is the list of mods that are planned once the $$$ are available:-

-Full exhaust
-MRT trickybits thingy
-Bigger wheels
-WRX buckets

I think I will stop there - for the moment, a frankenstein engine swap would be awsome but I will just thrash this one till she dies, which will probably be a while.

Look forward to talking to you!!

Daniel

welcome to Ozliberty!

its good that you want to  modify a great subaru.

my opinion is for bigger wheels put newish WRX rims on it (02-onwards). it will save you a bit of money than buying new wheels.

i hope u enjoy your stay

cheers

I was thinking that way, originally I was going to go for a set of 17" WRX rims, but the more I see the new Liberty rims, the more I want a set.  What do you think of those ones???

I have seen a few of those rims on Ebay.
I think if you look around, and maybe even ask on the lib forums, and the MRT forums, a set will pop up wink
