hey everyone im new here and i recently bought a 97 gen II liberty RX that's done 129,000km's and its fully stock. ive attached some pics (or at least i tried to), they are pretty crappy but whatever. really enjoying the car at the moment, except for an annoying sound when changing gears which i hope doesnt turn into anything nasty...ah well looks like a good site so i'll cya all round

id say get that noise checked out asap, before it develops into something serious

Hi,

Welcome to the site, certainly looks like a neat 'n tidy RX you've got there. As has been said, I'd definitely advise getting the box issue looked at ASAP - the sooner you pick up a problem the cheaper it will be, before it can do any damage further down the line.

yeh i'll get it checked out...at the moment its just a strange sort of sound thats hard to describe, its somewhere between a long squek mixed with a slight groan also there's a very slight vibration...when releasing the clutch...i hope its an easy (and cheap) fix if there's aything wrong...:fool:

Hi,

I would suggest that it is a manual car, as he mentions a slight vibration whilst releasing the clutch.

thanx for the warm welcome's guys.
Just a quick question i'd like to ask regarding wheels is...

not as though i have the $$$ right now to do it, but what colour and style rims  do you think would suit my car? also 17" or 18"? i'll look to get some eventually but as i've already said i dont have any money and won't for a while but i like to think about it...

Good to see some more sexy Gen 2's especially the dark green variety.  Well done on a extremely good purchase mate. Fingers crossed the noise will be a simple and cheap fix.
