alternative body kits / aftermarket head and tail light

  Top of Page

hey guys just wondering if there are and aftermarket head and tail lights available for my 98 RX, or what i can do to get some in there.

any alternative body kits that i could also use?

one thing i mostly want to know is if its possible for a light to be installed inside the horizontal part of the boot where the "subaru" badge is? i thought it would look pretty awesome thats all...

hopefully you guys can help me out smile

For the headlights, you can upgrade to the Japanese-spec projector lens'

For the boot lid garnish, you can upgrade to the Japanese spec LEGACY garnish which has the extra lights in part of the centre of the garnish. Here is a before and after of my car:

Alternatively, you can wire the lights which are already there to come on when you brake. So 4-brake lights instead of 2.

Not that I know of. That would be a custom job, and also may draw attention to police...

Might be thinking of a JDM boot with a brakelight in the centre, between the garnish & the top of the boot?

(might need to be signed into IM to see that????)

EDIT: Just re-read, talking about installing a light IN the garnish. In that case, ignore this post ha.

NO, that section cant be lit up, it is silver coated in behind there so that the SUBARU letters are visible.
also the plod would not like that...

also I would say wire the rear lights up as rear fogs like they should be wink just get a 2nd fog light switch from the wrecker.. mine was already setup like that but i didn't ever find any custom wiring running to the back so i assume it's all there factory just not hooked up.

they double as super bright reverse lights or a safe way to "break check" those that tailgate you.

Projectors are WIN, see comparison photo..
