Alloy Wheel Repair

i just stole these links from clubsub.org.nz but thought it might be helpful if anyone is interested in getting rid of gutter rash/curbing etc.. not my own diy but seems like it is pretty easy, only problem would be finding the right paint to match the other wheels(could always repaint all 4 tho:)) any way have a look its pretty interesting..

haha i dunno, the Porsche wheels looks pretty good to me.. i reckon if you took your time then you would be okay.. especially for small rash etc.. as i said before i havent tried this DIY but thought it would be interesting to post it anyway..

he has done a fantastic job on that porsche wheel ...... but like you said it would be really hard to match the paint, knowing me i would totally balls it up

haha i agree, i would probably fcuk it up too and end up paying for it to get professionally done as well as paying for the DIY materials:) there may be some brave souls on here willing to give it a shot though as im pretty sure a few people have repainted their wheels with good success..

Nice D.I.Y! As for the matching of paint colour I am sure you would be able to track down the paint code of your wheel weather it be stock or after market. Its probably best to try track all your car colour codes now on your wheels and overall pains on the car for future reference if needed. Especially with the newer models as it is easier to find.

Paints and colours are designed to have there specific code so if you were to buy one brand of paint as to another brand with the same colour code they should be perfect colour matches. These codes are suppose to be followed globally to an extent anyway.

Differences in paint brands are the quality they may look slightly different due to quality and fading ect.

yea im sure it wouldnt be too hard to find the right codes.. its probably all on the net somewhere..

Easy DIY way to repair chrome wheels (with inspiration and thanks from liber8ed smile)

[color="Red"]1)[/color] take this:

That is some funny sh1t. But its only the inside of the rim thats fuked. Me thinks the bin is a tad extreme. That rim is fixable.
Great DIY, though I think I couldn't be f**ked doing all that work and still rooting it.
