Mirrors can be adjusted to eliminate blind spots, but time and time again, I see people trying to change lanes into another car.
I have my left mirror adjusted so that I can see a car or motor bike that is sitting on my rear quarter or door.
Mirros are there for that reason, not so you can see your own rear door handle.wink

Harry

Agreed!

I have no idea why people adjust their wing mirros so that they can see exactly the same view as they can through their windscreen mounted rear vision mirror.

I've got my drivers and passenger wing mirrors set up so that I can just see the nose of a car beside me in my peripheral (sp) vision and the rear end of the same car in the mirrors.

Works a treat. Even so, it's still not a fail safe and a head check is still required just to be safe!
