Does it have a shorter wheelbase than the old rex? I dont like the fact it slopes upwards towards the back and they persist with that crappy little wing. I dont know why they'd ruin a perfectly good looking car, disappointing really...

This is true however the pig nose was not really that ugly to begin with plus i believe that is the one with the 2.5 turbo? correct me if im wrong..

They ditched the frameless doors, ripped off the Mazda 3 silouette, aren't releasing a sedan in Aus, gave it ugly ricer clear LED tails.. the whole thing's a mess, Subaru did nothing right with the new rex in my opinion.
Would take the new Evo over it any day of the week.

AHAHHAHAH love nice name. I didn't realize they added the window frames HOW BAD. Thats one thing i loved about subies is the rimless windows.

The Evo X also has more hp and Nm. Its predicted to be 320hp and 325 lb-ft of torque with a light weight aluminum block.

On that note I thought the Jap max hp standard was 280hp or was that just a gentlemen rule between the major companies (Subaru, Nissan, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Suzuki). Maybe the companies have up'ed the anti to keep up with the Europeans and Americans. Does anyone know anymore about this?

EDIT: OW yeah I forgot I wasnt bagging Subaru in general I am just saying its SAD because we all no the Impreza is a major milestone in there selection in cars and haveing one of there major sellers look that bad it wont be too good for there name.

Motor mags are on record as saying the new STI will have 320 hp and 350 torque, but that's not really saying much as these are at the fly figures as always. My STI is 187 kw and 350 Nm at the wheel after tune, boost to 18 psi and A/F ratio of 11.1 - nice and safe.

The japs have changed their rules which used to be 206 KW max.
