RE Dropping the 3L - It's not too surprising. Fuel prices rising - people wanting smaller/more efficient cars. It can be rationalised from a financial point of view. Besides. The 3L is a diesel anyway - by the amount of oil most of the guy's I've known use :Derisive:

I don't think that fuel consumption will be a factor "if" they drop the 3.0 given that they are creating a petrol 3.7L with 450hp (app 400kW). I'm sure that that thing is not "economical"

I'd say that if the 2.0 does get dropped, it will be purely due to an improved option being available. As Geoff suggested, the 3.6 out of the Tribeca is the most likely scenario.
