Pull seat back, activate pretensioner by tugging quickly on the belt, pull seat forward. Quick 3-point suggested for street cars on track days.

As for the 4-point, if you must go for it there should be mounting points where the rear seat folds (between the base and the seat back). Its what Vin uses with his OMP 6-point. You'll need to check the angles though.

Just get better seats

You'll look like a fricken goon putting your 4 point harness on in your wagon going to the shops - unless you're planning on only putting it in when you're going for a drive around the hills?

yeah that's what i was gonna say. Leather non bucket seats are the worse thing you could have in there at the moment if want to be hitting corners??

Get yourself a set of GC8 seats for $400-$500. Get them recovered if you really have to (some companies make after market covers that fit perfectly). Problem solved!

Yeah go the WRX seats.....not as soft and comfy but alot more supportive...i went from std 02 RX seats to the V3 Sti seats (black with grey suede) and they are soo much beter....get a lil sore after a 4 hour drive without walkin round sometimes...
but its the price you pay

And as for that street/track idea with pretenioning belts...never thought of that...might give it a go!!

firstly... wearing harness's on teh street makes you look like a toss.

harness=track only/defect city

Buy some evo recaros (JDM evo7 if you want them really tight), 220kw evo with endless coilover and semislicks, dont need harness throught the mountains, you shouldnt.

haha worked that out on a hot day with no shirt:lol:

i can manage without a harness in the hills but im constantly shifting myself around to get a better brace depending on the corner. im about as skinny as they come so theres plenty of space to move which i dont like.

was considering a harness that clips in and out so its not there during the week and because ive seen them around for only a hundred bucks or so as apposed to 500+ for buckets.

im very aware ill be laughed at for using one in the hills, but atleast i'll be snug

Try the seat-belt locking trick I mentioned earlier first. It'll cost you $0 if it works.

Sorry to be a killjoy boys but if you're falling out of your seat on the streets you're probably pushing it a bit too hard - regardless of how good a driver you are.

Look at buying Gen 3 Legacy RSK seats. I sat in Marks (CRUISNS) RSK seats, and there pretty snug even for me and im also a skinny bastard. They might be more expensive but their more legal, will look better imo, be more supportive and you can get some money back selling your current seats. I think their electric as well.

yeah i'll give this a go cheers mate.

general opinion seems to be no to harness, i've got three weeks up my sleeve so im sure i'll be able to sort out something in that time.

guess i needa be more specific about the seats...im absolutely not changing them unless i 100% have to. I plan on converting to stock for sale late this year.

Peggy is being a clever trevor.

. . .And I don't think you should contemplate different seats or a harness until you try the seatbelt trick, it works a treat! Sleeper harness :Derisive:
