3.0 Auto ?

Looking at moving from my MY03 RX to a 07/08 3.0R Spec B.
My Impreza was a manual as is my current Lib. I really enjoyed the manual. Is the 3.0 auto any good or should I just stick to manuals ?
I'm yet to drive the auto however interested in other's thoughts.

Best option would be to go and test drive one.
Then you can know for sure.

My old man has a 3.0R auto and it goes great for what it is

Test drive both. The auto's suck compared to the 6 speed manuals.
